Xstrata restarts copper projects after tax rejig…

Xstrata Ltd on Friday reinstated about A$600 million ($508 million) copper mining and exploration projects in Australia after the government watered down a proposed mining tax. Work would now start to extend the company’s Ernest Henry mine in Queensland state by at least 12 years to 2024, Xstrata said.
